Westwind Brass exists to broaden and enrich the musical legacy of local, national and international audiences through performance and educational services featuring brass instruments and music.

Saturday, November 14, 2009 - 7 p.m.
Take pleasure in American music throughout the ages. You will hear music from many different sectors of the American experience, including Broadway; the movies; and folk, popular and sacred music.
This performance will be in the 490-seat Kassebaum Theater at Mater Dei Catholic High School, 1615 Mater Dei Drive, Chula Vista. The facility is named for the late Dr. Estelle Kassebaum, who died in 2006 and was principal of the school when it was known as Marian Catholic High School.
Enjoy holiday music from many countries and every era, including traditional Christmas carols, Hanukah music and selections from a Klezmer’s Nutcracker Suite, Händel’s Messiah, as well as a few surprises.

The educational focus of each Westwind Brass school performance is that music is for everyone!
In fulfilling its mission, Westwind Brass engages children and adults through a variety of outreach/educational experiences: lecture-demonstrations, workshops, master classes, and in-school concerts. Over the past 21 years, Westwind Brass has provided musical performances for over 350,000 students, and is a proud new Arts Partner with the San Diego Unified School District, Grade Level Arts Experience and the Balboa Park Program for 5th Grade students.
